Her family was part of the ruling class in Afghanistan in the 60s and were all in danger of execution during the invasion of the USSR so they came to America as political asylum refugees. As a result of the current crisis in Afghanistan\, she co-founded Help The Afghans to provide assistance to incoming refugees and sponsor families for orphaned Afghan youth. Bront  Bakes embraces concepts that are bold\, brash\, and loaded with complex flavors and textures in a wide range of flavor combinations\, including vegan and gluten-free options\, available for pickup or local delivery in the L.A. area. This mother-daughter partnership launched in January 2021 and is headed by former tech CEO | Human Rights Activist\, Tari Weiss\, and her pastry chef daughter\, Bront  Weiss.
