The 2024 State of the Westside Report details economic, labor market, demographic, and housing conditions in the 13 Chambers of Commerce areas that comprise Los Angeles's Westside community. The report finds that the Westside has consistently outperformed the rest of Los Angeles County in employment and wage growth, and has shown remarkable resilience through the disruptions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of Los Angeles's marquee industries, such as filmmaking, tech, and tourism are concentrated in regions throughout the Westside, anchored there thanks to the highly educated and productive workforce that resides in the region. However, the report also reveals some challenges the Westside faces, such as changing trends in the leisure and hospitality industry and a constrained housing supply.
